Document Actions

Thanks to the sponsorship of European Laboratories and Institutions and to specific contributions from Industrial partners, a certain number of grants are offered to young scientists to attend EPAC’06. There are two types of grants available:

  • EPS-AG Grants:

for young graduate students under 30 years of age. Details are available on the EPS-AG website . Applications should be made by using the on-line application form.
  • Fellowships by Industry:

offered to young scientists who reside in low income countries and who are working in the field of accelerator physics, accelerator associated technologies or accelerator applications. They will be selected from the list of applicants for EPAC’06 Grants following specific criteria and taking into account comments made by the sponsor. The financial support will cover full conference registration, as well as travel and living expenses (selected persons will be notified in due course of the exact amount and method of payment).
  • EPS-AG Prize for Young Scientists:

For the first time, a prize will be awarded to PhD students or trainees in accelerator physics or engineering, on the basis of their personal contributions submitted to the EPAC'06 conference programme. More information is available at the Student Grant Site or via the EPS-AG site or directly here . Applications must be made using the on-line application form.

DEADLINE FOR APPLICATIONS IS 18 JANUARY, 2006

"All error, not merely verbal, is a strong way of stating that the current truth is incomplete. The follies of youth have a basis in sound reason, just as much as the embarrassing questions put by babes and sucklings. Their most antisocial acts indicate the defects of our society. When the torrent sweeps the man against a boulder, you must expect him to scream, and you need not be surprised if the scream is sometimes a theory."

(Virginibus puerisque - Robert Louis Stevenson)
